OLI S-Type Ball Pneumatic Vibrators

The S-Type Pneumatic Ball Vibrator generates a low amplitude high frequency vibratory force and are particularly efficient with fine powders and granular materials. They are available in 8 sizes.

  • Vibratory Force (Centrifugal Force) output from 15Kg to 405Kg.

  • Vibration frequency adjusted by air pressure, 2 – 6 Bar.

  • Maintenance free design, comes with silencer and Air nipple.

  • Compliant with ATEX EX II 2DG cT(x), suitable in explosive environments. Operating noise reaches 90 dB(A).

Ball Vibrators


Vibration is induced by the rotation of a chrome-plated steel ball being driven by compressed air (or another inert gas) around a set of hardened steel races within the Vibrator's aluminum or malleable iron cylindrical body. The Speed or Frequency, measured as Vibration-Per-Minute (VPM), is determined by the ball’s RPM. The VPM is adjustable using an air regulator to adjust inlet PSI or an adjustable speed-control exhaust muffler. The smaller the ball, the higher the VPM at the same PSI air pressure. Higher PSI causes higher VPM. The Centrifugal Force Pounds (lbf) is based on ball size/weight and its RPM: A larger ball or an increase in RPM results in an exponential increase of the centrifugal force produced.

Sizing Guide: Ball Vibrators, when used to prompt material flow, are sized based on the weight and characteristics of the stored material held in the sloped portion of the bin, hopper or other vessel. Generally, for consistent, long term results, select a Ball Vibrator that at 80 PSI (can be run @ 30 to 100 PSI) produces 1-lbf for every 10-lbs of stored material.
